DAY 01 SEPILOK ORANG UTAN / Bilit Kinabatangan (Lunch, Dinner)
Meet at hotel in Sandakan or early morning fly Malaysia Airlines from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan. On arrival drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center to see the morning feeding time of the reserve's orang utan, which are being gradually re-introduced into the wild. After lunch, continue overland to the Nature Lodge Kinabatangan. The journey will take approximately 2 hours, passing by Kota Kinabatangan town and also oil palm plantation. Arrive and check-in at Nature Lodge. Afternoon boat cruise to search for wildlife abd bird-life along the Kinabatangan River banks. Right after dinner, go for a guided night walks to enjoy the wilderness and watch sleeping birds and nocturnal creatures of the jungle. Overnight at the Nature Lodge.
DAY 02 OWBOW LAKE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Catch the beautiful sight of the misty Kinabatangan River at 0500hrs. Join the boat cruise at 0600hrs and see the exciting wildlife as they just awake from a night sleep. Various species of wildlife may be seen such as Proboscis Monkeys, Leaf Monkeys, Macaques, Gibbons and even the Orang Utans. Return to the lodge for breakfast then proceed for a jungle walk to the Bilit Ox-Bow Lake behind the lodge. This is the time to get an up close and personal glimpse of exquisite insects and birds life. You will also walk on the path of the newly discovered "Borneo Pygmy Elephants". Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon another safari cruise along the Kinabatangan River for more wildlife sight-seing. After dinner there will be another guided night walk, this time using a different route. Overnight at the Nature Lodge.
DAY 03 SANDAKAN / ONWARD (Breakfast)
Don't be suprised to be woken up by the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Take a morning cruise to see more birds and wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and continue your journey back to Sandakan and transfer to your hotel or airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu MH 2709 1415hrs.
